I lost my leg in the Boston Marathon bombing, but my faith in Jesus is stronger than ever
This weekend marked four years since the Boston Marathon bombing. In 2013, the Chechen-American brothers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev detonated two bombs near the finish line of the annual Boston Marathon. Three people were killed by the blast while hundreds were injured. Sixteen people lost their limbs.
That afternoon Rebekah Gregory was waiting at the finish line with her five-year-old son, supporting a friend who was running. The first of the homemade bombs detonated just three feet away from the pair. Rebekah’s legs took the majority of the impact which protected her son from fatal injury. After significant efforts to save both of her legs, with 17 surgeries and over 60 procedures, she finally decided to have her left leg amputated. Today, she shares her reflections on the event which changed her life forever. CLICK FOR MORE
